About Ryan

Hi I’m Ryan Braidley. I’m a husband, father and artist. I’m passionate about making pictures and memory making. Spending time with the love of my life, Lisa my wife and my children Jefferson and Livinia is precious to me. I enjoy taking long walks with Belle our Sprocker Spaniel around the beautiful and historic landscape around Wentworth where my studio is. I’ve lived in Rotherham where I grew up as a child all my life,  nearly re-located our little family to St-Ives in Cornwall (for a beach lifestyle!) a couple of years ago but realised I had everything I needed in Rotherham and how much I’d miss the the beautiful walks I’d discovered around Wentworth and of course my mum and family!! My degree was in FIne Art & Photography, I taught GCSE & A-Level Art & Photography for 12 years in secondary schools (I have the patience of a Saint!) until the calling of being a full time photographer was too much! Add all that up and it makes me 39 years old!!

There is nothing I love more than people and capturing their life events. My passion is combining Art & Photography; a keen painter I have been making images for the best part of my life, whether it was painting or photography but I didn’t start to get serious about photography again until 2012 when I decided to start my own company and go freelance. I can still remember shooting my first wedding and getting the buzz and the adrenalin rush, I knew then I needed to become a full time wedding photographer. I love making memories for people, hopefully they’ll become heirlooms over time….

A few things I love in no particular order:

My dog Belle, lazy days in the hot sun with  my kids playing in the paddling pool, wildflowers (and lots of them), the Maldives (I’ve been once on our Honeymoon but still need to go back as it blew me away), Florence, Family, Travelling and exploring. People watching. Creative people, positive people and eccentric people with a story to tell preferably over a beer!

My Bucket List of places to visit..

Hawaii, Iceland, Cuba, Nepal, Mongolia, Vietnam, New Zealand, Australia, Madrid to see Picasso’s epic painting ‘Guernica’. A night in Las Vegas, L.A for the beaches and Hollywood, Copa Cabana Beach, Barcelona FC Stadium The Nou Camp with my son who’s football crazy before he’s to cool to be seen with me!
